    coaching directors

    Our Directors of Coaching (DoCs) oversee the Surfcoast Chargers Junior Representative Program, providing leadership, mentoring and support to our players and coaches. Their role is to drive player development, uphold the values of the Surfcoast Chargers program, and create positive pathways for athletes at every stage of their representative basketball journey.

    Lisa Patterson

    Female Program

    Lisa Patterson joined Surfcoast Basketball Association in 2025, bringing extensive experience as both a player and coach. She has competed at state representative level and in NBL1, while also coaching junior representative teams and serving as an assistant coach at both state and NBL1 level.

    Since relocating to the Surf Coast, Lisa has made an immediate impact within the Chargers program, coaching VJBL teams and mentoring players and coaches across the association. Away from basketball, she has served on the Basketball Tasmania Board and is the AFL Regional Manager for the Barwon region, leading initiatives focused on participation, club development and pathways, particularly for women and girls in sport.

    Lisa is passionate about helping young athletes develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy everything basketball has to offer.
